Mixing is where a good song becomes a great one. It’s what takes a collection of raw tracks and turns them into a cohesive, polished sound. Whether you recorded at home or in another studio, we bring years of experience and a musician’s ear to shape your tracks into a polished, professional mix that highlights the essence of your music.

Mixing Rates

$150 per song 1-32 mono tracks (stereo tracks count as two)

$175 per song 32+ mono tracks (stereo tracks count as two)

For songs over 7 minutes, additional charges may apply—but, we’ll discuss the details with you first.

Revisions are FREE, as long as they’re within reason. If extensive revisions are needed, we’ll schedule an in-person mix session at $100/hr or a full-day rate of $750.

Above all, we want you to be 100% thrilled with your mix—because when you sound good, we sound good!

How It Works

Send us your tracks via WeTransfer (or a similar service) at funkyfrogstudios.tx@gmail.com.
Include mix notes! Let us know about production details, effects, and any fades. The more info, the better!
File format requirements: WAV files at 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88.2kHz, or 96kHz, bounced/consolidated from 0:00, Bar 1 or Beat 1; so all tracks start at the same place.
Dry is best! Send tracks without reverb or effects—unless an effect is essential to the sound. If this is the case, please provide both an FX version and a "Dry Safety" version (this won’t count against your track total).
No DAW session files, please! We need exported WAV files, not session files from Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, etc.
MIDI and virtual instruments? Print them as audio and send them as separate tracks.
Send clean, ready-to-mix files. Make sure you’re sending the correct takes, with crossfades done and unwanted noise removed. We’ll mix what you send, so take a moment to double-check!
Label your tracks! No one wants to play “guess the instrument”. Clearly name files (Kick, Snare, Lead Vocal, etc.). Avoid labels like “Audio_01” or “Track_27”.
Timing or pitch issues? Let us know exactly where they are (timestamps help!). We provide transparent pitch correction that keeps your vocals natural—unless you're into that Robo-Frog Vibe. If so, just say the word!
Reference tracks help! Send us 2-3 commercially released songs that match the vibe and tonality you’re aiming for. This helps us nail your mix faster—maybe even on the first pass!

Invoicing & Completed Mixes

Once we receive your ready-for-mixing tracks, we'll send you an invoice for online payment. Once our mixing is complete, we'll provide high-quality WAV file(s) and MP3(s), ready for release-no further processing needed!

Revisions & Final Touches

Take a couple of days to live with your mix(es). If you want tweaks, send us a detailed email outlining what you'd like adjusted.

What's Included in a Revision?

Volume tweaks (bringing up the vocals, lowering the snare, etc.)
EQ Adjustments (brightening the guitar, smoothing the bass, etc.)
Effects Level Changes (more reverb, less delay, etc.)

If you're needing big changes, or a full mix overhaul, we'll schedule an in-person session to work through it with you. ($100 an hour or $750 for a full 8-hour day)

We assume most revisions can be done in 30 minutes or less, but if it becomes a major revision marathon, we'll hit the pause and meet up to get things right. Your happiness with the final mix is our #1 priority.
